INSTAGRAM'S ROLE IN RENOVATION AND CONTRACTING

Smartphones give us the incredible ability to be connected to the world at all times. It's also a great way to keep in touch (without really keeping in touch) with friends, family, and even organizations.

So, how can we harness the full potential of social media as a construction company? And what impact does it have on our industry? The answer to these questions are very important to how we communicate with our clients and fellow contractors.

The most useful app for us has been Instagram. Our work is very visual, and that is the main focus of Instagram. There's no reading or writing to go along with posts like on Facebook or Twitter. Each image has a description, but it's up to the viewer if they want to read it or not. This allows us to show the work that we do and how we do it with few distractions. It also allows us to build a story of who we are as a company and how we like to work. Client's can have an inside view of what we're like before they even give us a call.

Another great use for Instagram has been connecting with other contractors. We can give feedback, answer questions, and get advice from people just like us. There's a real sense of community that feels really good to be a part of. Seeing other contractors trying new things and pushing boundaries really gives us inspiration and a sense of pride in what we all set out to do. There's some great work being done out there, and we're very happy to have Instagram to connect us to it.
